Chandrataal Route Advisory
The route to Chandrataal Lake is an off-road stretch and is generally accessible only between June and September. However, the route may close at any time due to landslides, adverse weather conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. Please note that updates regarding such unexpected scenarios are usually received only one day in advance, and therefore it may not be possible to inform participants well ahead of time. In the event that the Chandrataal route is closed, we will return via the alternate route: Kaza → Tabo → Shimla → Chandigarh. If the route to Chandrataal is open but camping at Chandrataal Lake is not permitted, we will proceed directly to Manali, where accommodation will be arranged. Any additional costs arising due to last-minute itinerary changes will be borne by the participants.

Winter Spiti Road Trip – Contingency Disclaimer
Please note that Spiti is a remote and high-altitude region with limited infrastructure and basic facilities. The area is accessible primarily via a single main road, which is highly susceptible to natural disruptions such as landslides, heavy snowfall, black ice, or other unforeseen weather related events. In the event of such disruptions, the group may be required to halt their journey at the point of obstruction. The duration of such delays is unpredictable and beyond anyone’s control. These situations may result in changes to the planned itinerary, including the possibility of missing scheduled sightseeing or being unable to reach the intended destination on time. In extreme cases, due to limited availability of accommodation—particularly during peak travel seasons—participants may be required to stay overnight in their vehicles or halt in nearby settlements without prior arrangements. Trekkers United will make every possible effort to manage the situation efficiently; however, we will not be held responsible for any inconvenience, changes in schedule, or missed experiences arising from such circumstances beyond our control.

Backpacking Trip — Not a Luxury Tour
This is a true backpacking experience, designed for adventure seekers who love raw, authentic travel. Expect decent comfort, not luxury. Spiti is an offbeat and rugged destination, so food and accommodation will be simple & basic — that’s the charm of the journey and the essence of real backpacking.

Flight Information & Booking Policy
Trekkers United packages include land arrangements only. Flight booking is the responsibility of the client (those who are booking Ex Chandigarh Package ). If needed, we can help you with flight options or book tickets on your behalf. However, Trekkers United is not responsible for flight delays, cancellations, rescheduling, or refund issues. After paying ₹8,000 as your booking amount to secure your slot, you may: – Book your flights directly, or – Request our assistance. (Full flight payment is required in advance if we book for you.)

Washroom / Toilet Facilities in Kaza & Tabo (Peak Winter)
During peak winter, extreme cold causes water pipelines to freeze, resulting in no running water availability. Due to this, attached washrooms may remain closed. Guests staying in Kaza and Tabo will be provided with clean and well-maintained shared/common washrooms. Limited hot water will be provided only for freshening up. Taking a full bath in such extreme cold is not recommended, as the body may not adjust well and there is a high chance of falling sick.
